“So how was your night, Maurice” she quizzed me as the phone was pressed against my check, separating my skin from the pillow in which it was placed.
“Fine.” I tried to push out, my voice still raspy from the Hennessey shots from last night’s crazy bachelor party.
She wasn’t too happy about the people attending, and she’d be even less happy about the number of strippers that filled the room.
They certainly spent no expense, getting two strippers from every nationality to make sure the evening was unforgettable.
“Mmm Hmm,” she contended. “ I know it was for Tre, so I’m sure he had strippers in there.” She left the statement open ended hoping that I would offer information. I used the allotted time to clear my throat and try to determine what time of day it was.
“Well?” she questioned seconds later, realizing an answer wasn’t forthcoming.
“Well what?” I asked finally leaning and losing a breathe as my eyes focused on the ungodly hour of 10:00 am, knowing that I didn’t lay my head until 7:15 am this morning.
“Was there strippers there? You know I hate strippers and don’t get me started on the last time you were around strippers, and I almost had to cut a bitch.”
The answers filled my head like sand in a playground. Only one true answer would suffice this situation
“Nah, we was just sitting around playing cards. Benny and them was bugged out, drunk and wildin’ out. Good time.”
My answer was a lie, true. The lap of my jeans still have an obvious evidence trail, not that she’d ever know.
No harm no foul.
So RR readers, is Maurice wrong? What would YOU have done?
Naw, maurice was not wrong....well from a woman's prospective he was..... but hey sumtimes yu gotta avoid known arguments!!! LoL nd telln ur girl/wife u was around strippers is a BIG no no. HAHAHAHAAA
ReplyDeleteI fully understand why he lied about it. Is he wrong for lying. Yeah. But I cant blame him at all. Especially knowing that she feels a certain way about strippers. Most women do. She already had an attitude. He was saving himself from an argument and aggravation.
ReplyDeleteBut, Its a Bachelor Party! I would expect strippers, lap dances and parts being shaken for the guys enjoyment. I would have a hard time believing that there werent any and they all sat around playing cards all night. Not saying that couldnt happen.
I would want my man to be honest. As long as he didnt do anything out of line or disrespectful to me. I definitely will feel territorial about some chick being on my man. Thats a given, But I want him to be able to talk to me. Gotta have trust and communication in your relationship. And, you better believe im gonna have me a good time at a bachlorette party! Lol ;)
I'm all about honesty and being up front, but we all tell little white lies, and this was an example. Personally, I would have told my lady the deal, I mean what does she expect from these types of parties. Plus, what are the odds that she would never find out, which would make it worse, had I not been honest in the first place.
ReplyDeleteBottom line is, she must feel a certain way about strippers, because of some sort of insecurity. Some women just need to stop being threatened by other women, esp strippers. They don't want your man, only his money! If you feel threatened by a stripper, then you must not be doing your job at home.
Honesty will get you cut. He did the right thing here. WOmen will never understand the right to a man and his bachelor parties. Honey Im goin over to my boys could should equate to, I may be at a strip club, dont text me Ill see you in the morning. That way the woman has an indication. WHen i go out.. IM out.
